Our approach to identifying needs, and supporting children with additional needs:
At St Michael’s Community Nursery we offer support for children with additional needs, making use of the Surrey Local Offer and following the Surrey Graduated Response, including working with Early Years Advisors and specialist agencies where appropriate:

Speech & Language
We also offer early identification of Speech and Language needs by assessing new starters using the Teddy Talk Test, which provides a snapshot of the child’s development and helps to identify any areas for additional support.
Further information on the Teddy Talk Test can be found here: Teddy Talk Test | Preschool Speech and Language Assessment
We run the Early Talk Boost programme for children aged 3-4 years old who need further support in developing their language and communication.
